I love food. It’s the greatest joy of my life — eating out, traveling, dessert, all of it. So when I started eating cleaner, I refused to give that up. Healthy food that didn't feed my soul never stuck.

I went looking for something different — and found it in my childhood memories from home.

Kitchari. Lentils, rice, and spices, cooked together in one pot. My family has eaten it forever. It’s an ancient food, rooted in Ayurveda — prized for is high nutrition and gentle digestion. It's a well-rounded powerhouse, and it is delicious.

Today, when I come home from trips, it’s the first thing I eat. During the week, it's a comforting bowl to balance modern life.

My mom and I created this kit to share this tasty family staple with others, who are looking for ways to eat homemade and preservative-free.
